About Dr. Dakari

Dr. Dakari Quimby specializes in the mental health treatment of adults coping with the lasting effects of childhood or family stress, navigating relationship challenges, or experiencing a sense of unfulfillment in their personal or professional lives. Dr. Quimby’s clinical and academic work reflect his passion for understanding trauma, advancing social equity, and developing strategies that promote resilience within communities. He also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Social Issues and Psychology of Violence, contributing to scholarship that bridges research and real-world impact. He currently serves as a Clinical Advisor at The Lakes Behavioral Health, where he supports evidence-based approaches to comprehensive behavioral health treatment and recovery. Dr. Quimby earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his Ph.D. in psychology from Loyola University Chicago.
